Sudbury Wolves News Release
The Sudbury Wolves will begin a three game road trip on Thursday, February 4th with stops in Windsor, Flint and Saginaw. The three game road trip will be a huge test for the Wolves as all three games will be played in three days.
On Thursday, the Wolves will visit the Windsor Spitfires at 7:05pm. The Spitfires are led by leading scorer CHRISTIAN FISCHER, who has 59 points in 47 games, and rookie goaltender MICHAEL DIPIETRO. This marks the second and final meeting between Sudbury and Windsor, with the Wolves taking the first meeting by a score of 3-1.
On Friday, the Wolves will cross the border to face the Flint Firebirds at 7:30pm. They are led by top prospect WILL BITTEN, who has recorded 48 points in 46 games in his second season with the organization. This game will mark the second meeting between the two teams. The Firebirds took the first meeting back in November by a final score of 2-0 victory over the Wolves.
The Wolves will wrap up the road trip on Saturday night as they visit the Saginaw Spirit. This will be the first of two games played between these teams this season. The Spirit are led by top prospect ARTEM ARTEMOV, who has scored 16 goals and 43 points this season in 48 games played.
Wolves' fans can follow the team on the road by tuning into the live play-by-play with Stew Kernan on KFM 95.5. Fans can also tune into Friday's game on Eastlink TV.
The Wolves will return to action next weekend for two home games with a focus on community and charity. Friday February 12th, the Saginaw Spirit will make their one and only visit to the Sudbury Arena for St. Louis Bar & Grill Superhero Night in support of Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer (NOFCC).
