Matt Stoia Commits to the Oshawa Generals

Oshawa ON. The Oshawa Generals are excited to announce that Matt Stoia has committed to the Generals.

"Matt impressed us during training camp, he went back to play in Michigan and has continued to grow and improve his game," Says Roger Hunt Vice President and General Manager of the Oshawa Generals. "He is a big right-handed defenceman who we are excited to have in the stable."

Matt Stoia was drafted by the Oshawa Generals in the 12th round, 240th overall in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection. The Northville, Michigan native plays in the Compuware U16 program. This season on the U16 team, Stoia has recorded 16 points in 20 games, to go along with 73 penalty minutes. The 6'0" 176 lbs Stoia has also had stints with the U18 team, as well as the Dubuque Fighting Saints of the USHL.
