December 8, 2012 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Chicago Wolves News Release

ROCKFORD, Ill.---They were shut out at home Friday night, but the Chicago Wolves proved one day can make all the difference when they bested the Rockford IceHogs 2-1 in an Illinois Lottery Cup contest Saturday night at the MetroCentre.

Center Andrew Ebbett and right wing Darren Haydar scored for the Wolves, while goaltender Matt Climie (3-7-0) stopped 23 of 24 shots.

A quick wrist shot from Rockford right wing Kyle Beach opened scoring late in the first period at 18:32. The IceHogs (13-10-0-1) led the game 1-0 heading into the second period.

Once the new frame got started, Chicago (10-9-2-1) pressed until they found a way to score, with Ebbett finding a hole in Rockford goalie Carter Hutton's game, rifling a shot past him at 4:53.

The score remained knotted until midway through the third period when Haydar scored his first goal of the season past Hutton at 7:12.
