GLENVIEW, Ill. - The Chicago Wolves announced Thursday they have signed forward Brady Shaw to a PTO (professional tryout contract). Shaw will be available when the Central Division-leading Wolves play three games in three days this weekend.

Shaw, a 26-year-old from Ottawa, Ontario, has split this season between the ECHL's Orlando Solar Bears and Fort Wayne Komets. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound forward has produced 21 goals and 29 assists in 54 games between the teams and ranks among the ECHL's Top 25 in goals and points.

After spending four years at the University of Vermont, Shaw started his professional career in 2016-17 with the AHL's San Antonio Rampage. He posted 1 goal in 11 games for the Rampage between the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons before moving to the ECHL.

Shaw's father, Brad, was a longtime professional defenseman who posted 22 goals and 137 assists in 377 NHL appearances. He wrapped up his professional career with the IHL's Detroit Vipers and played against the Wolves during the 1998 Turner Cup Final. He's in his third season as an assistant coach with the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets.
