Stockton Heat News Release
SAN DIEGO, Calif. - After falling behind 4-2 in the second period, the Stockton Heat rattled off five unanswered goals, two shorthanded, en route to a 7-5 win over the San Diego Gulls Wednesday night at Pechanga Arena San Diego. Stockton was led by a foursome of multi-point efforts on the night, taking advantage of two-point outbursts from Dillon Dube, Ryan Lomberg, Spencer Foo and Michael Stone in the divisional win. The turning goal came from the stick of Lomberg, who lit the lamp at 7:24 of the second, the first of two goals on the night for him and first of three in the middle frame for Stockton as the Heat took a 5-4 edge into the second intermission. Tyler Graovac's goal later in the second drew the Heat to even footing with four minutes remaining in the frame before Stockton was able to gain the upper hand. Despite the slow start, the Heat continued their impressive run offensively in San Diego, now with 19 in three games on Gulls ice on the year, as Stockton was able to come from behind to seize the win.
