POSTGAME QUOTES

San Diego Gulls

Adam Cracknell

On the game

When we get the kills, we want to get the kills. When we're on the power play, we obviously want to score. That's a hungry team over there. We've played them three times in a row and they've played us hard every game. They're fighting for their lives right now and they showed that tonight. They were consistent through the whole game, they took advantage of opportunities and came out with the win. That's a tough one for us, especially at home. Two days later, we get to redeem ourselves.

On the team

Once you walk in that dressing room, everyone is about playing together. We have that mentality. We have a good skill level, but we do all the right things too. Everyone is having individual success and at the end of the day we want team success. I think everybody is really buying into what Dallas wants, what the organization wants and what we want too. We want success as a team and we want to make a run for the Calder (Cup). Guys are buying in, we have guys blocking shots, no matter what time it is in the game. It might not be all the guys getting the glory, but for us to go deep in the playoffs, everyone needs to contribute in different areas.

Head Coach Dallas Eakins

On the game

It's a hard one to evaluate because, we were just going through what we want to go over in practice tomorrow, and most of it is positive. It was a night where our power play was excellent. Other than a couple of tough clears, our penalty kill was great. We had an unbelievable amount of scoring chances and when we needed to score, we couldn't. They were certainly opportunistic when they scored.

On the upcoming back-to-back against Colorado

We want to keep our power play going the way it is. Both [special teams] units were very good tonight and going down the stretch that is going to be critical. I liked the way we worked tonight, we want to stay on that. The thing with Colorado is they are a team that is chasing us. We've had very close games against them in their rink before. We've got to be ready for a very close matchup.
