
Wolves Shut-Out by Steelheads

The Sudbury Wolves were in Mississauga Sunday afternoon for a divisional match-up where they were shutout 6-0 by the Steelheads. The Wolves could not make a comeback after allowing 3 goals in the first period.
The Steelheads got on the board early in the game, as Michael McLeod scored three minutes into the contest. The Steelheads scored two more goals in the period, including a powerplay marker by Alexander Nylander. After the first period, the shots were 14-13 for the Steelheads.
The Steelheads added to their lead in the 2nd period when Alexander Nylander scored his second of the game to extend the lead to 4-0. The Wolves had some chances on the powerplay, but were unable to capitalize. At the end of the second, Mississauga was outshooting the Wolves 25-24.
The Steelheads continued their success in the final period. McLeod and Nylander both added their third points of the night, as the Steelheads added two more goals. Final shots were 36-28 in favour of Mississauga.
