
Bitten to Represent Flint in CHL Canada Russia Series Tonight

Flint, Mich. - Flint Firebirds' Forward Will Bitten is among the 20 Ontario Hockey League players selected to represent the OHL in the CHL Canada Russia Series tonight in Windsor, Ontario. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. (ET) at the WFCU Centre and will be televised nationally throughout Canada on Sportsnet 360 (English) and TVA Sports (French).
Bitten currently leads the Firebirds in points with 10 goals and 17 assists including a plus-four rating in 19 games played this season. In addition, Bitten has recorded points in all five games played in the month of November this year and has recorded multi-point nights in the previous four games.
The CHL boasts a perfect 3-0 record through three games in the CHL Canada Russia Series this season, marking the first time since 2009 that the CHL has won the first three games of the series.
In the first contest between the two nations this year, Team WHL won 7-3 on Nov. 9 in Kelowna, BC prior to a 4-2 victory in Kamloops, BC on Nov. 10. After the series switched to Ontario, Team OHL won 3-0 in Owen Sound on Nov. 12.
Flint Firebirds Captain and Dallas Stars prospect, Alex Peters was also selected to represent Team OHL in the CHL Canada Russia Series but is unable to compete due to injury.

Next up for Flint, the Firebirds will travel to Guelph, Ontario for a Friday evening contest against the Storm at 7:30 p.m. Firebirds' fans can catch the game live on 1330 WTRX Sports Radio. The game will also be televised live on Rogers TV channel 20 in Guelph and across the province of Ontario on the OHL Action Pak on channel 460.
Flint will return home to the Dort Federal Event Center for a pair of games on Saturday, Nov. 21 against the Barrie Colts and Sunday, Nov. 22 against the Erie Otters.
Saturday, the Firebirds have partnered with the Toys for Tots organization. Fans can bring a new toy to the arena to receive a complimentary bronze level ticket. Sunday is Dort Federal Credit Union Family Night. Free thunderstix will be handed out to the first 2,000 fans in attendance. There will also be face painters, balloon twisters and bounce houses for children in attendance.
