Sarnia Sting News Release
The Sting split the weekend, dropping a 4-3 decision to the Flint Firebirds on Friday night and downing the Storm by a score of 7-0 on Saturday. The Sting are now 11-7-2-0 on the season and remain in 2nd place of the West Division standings.
On Friday night, the Sting fell behind 4-0 after 20 minutes at the Dort Federal Event Centre in Flint, MI. Depite rallying back and pulling within 1 in the 3rd, the comeback fell short as the Firebirds walked away with a 4-3 win.
It was a different story on Saturday night as the Sting scored six times in the opening frame and didn't look back. Both Pavel Zacha and Jordan Kyrou notched two for the home side, while Justi Fazio turned aside all 24 shots faced to secure his second shutout of the season.
