Sudbury, Ont. (Tuesday, March 27, 2007) - The Mississauga IceDogs were defeated 3-1 this evening in the third game of their playoff series versus the Sudbury Wolves. With the series tied 1-1 coming into the night, both teams were looking to grab the advantage. Unfortunately, the IceDogs were the ones that came up short.

Mississauga started things off the way they had anticipated, snagging a 1-0 lead in the opening frame. Luca Caputi produced the goal at 13:56, with the lone assist going to Kyle Lamb.

The Wolves added two goals of their own at 9:29 (power-play) and 12:06 of the 2nd period. The goalscorers were Zach McCullough and Nick Foligno while the helpers went to Adam McQuaid, Devin DiDiomete and Justin Donati.

The 3rd period was pretty lackluster until Sudbury's Andrew Self notched an empty-netter, off of a Donati pass, with 1 second to play.

Andrew Loverock finished the night with 34 saves for the IceDogs while Sebastian Dahm collected 21 for the Wolves. The IceDogs were 0 for 4 on the power-play while the Wolves were 1 for 7. The game's three stars were Donati (1st), McQuaid (2nd) and Loverock (3rd).

Game #4, also in Sudbury, will be on Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. Then, game #5 will be back in Mississauga on Sunday night at 7 p.m. All of the IceDogs playoff contests are available via webcast at www.mississaugaicedogs.com.
