
Wolves Continue Homestand

The Sudbury Wolves continue their five-game homestand with tough divisional matchups this weekend as they host the Barrie Colts on Friday, November 6th, and the Mississauga Steelheads on Saturday, November 7th. Both games begin at 7:00pm.
This will be the second meeting between Barrie and Sudbury this season. Barrie currently leads the Central Division, with 18 points. Standouts for the Colts to date this season include Calgary Flames Prospect, ANDREW MANGIAPANE and San Jose Sharks 2014 6th round selection, KEVIN LABANC who lead the Colts in scoring with 23 and 20 points respectively. Barrie also features one of the leagues' top goalies, New Jersey Devils prospect, MACKENZIE BLACKWOOD. Blackwood has 9 wins to date on the season, with a 2.49 GAA and a 0.926 save percentage.
Friday is Allstate Insurance Night! Visit their display table in the lower lobby for your chance to win a big screen TV. Fans will also have a chance to win a night on the town in the Allstate Insurance Shoot Out.
The Steelheads will visit the Nickel City for the second time this season on Saturday night as the Wolves return to home ice for double-header action. The Wolves defeated the Steelheads 5-4 in a shootout on Opening Weekend. Two 17-year-old forwards, MICHAEL MCLEOD and rookie ALEXANDER NYLANDER lead the Steelheads offence. Nylander currently sits eight in league scoring and first in rookie scoring with 21 points. Mississauga sits just two points back of the Barrie Colts in the Central Divison.
Saturday will be Military Appreciation Night presented by the Northern Life. The Wolves would like to welcome all Northern Life Carriers and Guests to the game. Prior to the start of the game, there will be a Remembrance Day Ceremony.
