
Wolves Become Beweavers Again

The Atlanta Thrashers have reassigned defenseman Mike Weaver to the Chicago Wolves.
Weaver, who was scoreless in one game after being recalled by Atlanta on Monday, is tied for first on the Wolves and shares fourth among American Hockey League defensemen with a +16 plus/minus rating.
The 25-year-old blueliner has recorded professional career-highs with nine assists and 11 points in 51 games with the Wolves. Weaver has also matched a professional career-high two goals this season.
Last year, Weaver notched NHL-career highs with five assists and five points in 40 games with the Thrashers. Overall, the Bramalea, Ontario, native has registered six assists and six points in 56 NHL games with Atlanta spanning two seasons (2001-2003).
