Wolverines Take on Steel for Second of Three Game Series Tonight

The Anchorage Wolverines host the Chippewa Steel in Anchorage this evening, for the second of three games this weekend. The Anchorage Wolverines lost 6-3 against the Chippewa Steel on last night, in the first of a three-game series between the two teams. Read Issac Smoldon's full preview here.

The Anchorage Wolverines Referee Appreciation night is set for this evening at the Ben Boeke Ice Arena, with a charity jersey auction taking place at intermission.

Due to unforeseen, or rather overlooked circumstances, tonight's jerseys will not be game-worn.

In a move the league called "ill-advised" and "how did these even make it past the mock-up phase", these cutting-edge and controversial jerseys are sure to be a hot ticket item for referee enthusiasts and those seeking ref-themed memorabilia.

Proceeds from the jersey auction will benefit Refs Without Borders, a 501(c)3 nonprofit that teaches those who can't play, to referee.
