Wolf Pack's Taylor Beck Named a First-Team AHL
April 6, 2017 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Hartford Wolf Pack News Release
HARTFORD: The American Hockey League today announced that Hartford Wolf Pack forward Taylor Beck has been named to the 2016-17 AHL First All-Star Team.
Beck, who was acquired by the parent New York Rangers March 1 from the Edmonton Oilers, in exchange for Justin Fontaine, has amassed 19 goals and 44 assists for 63 points, all pro career highs, in 53 AHL games this year in combined action between the Wolf Pack and the Bakersfield Condors. Those numbers are good for second among AHL players in points and a tie for third in assists. In 14 games since joining the Wolf Pack, Beck has six goals and seven assists for 13 points.
A sixth-year pro out of the Ontario Hockey League, Beck has skated in 297 career AHL games, with the Milwaukee Admirals, Bridgeport Sound Tigers, San Antonio Rampage, the Condors and the Wolf Pack, with scoring totals of 80 goals and 148 assists for 228 points. He has also logged 90 career NHL games with the Oilers, the Nashville Predators and the New York Islanders, scoring 11 goals and adding 12 assists for 23 points.
The Wolf Pack's next action is a home game tomorrow night, Friday, April 7 vs. the Springfield Thunderbirds. That is a 7:15 PM faceoff, and, as at all Friday-night Wolf Pack home games, fans can enjoy $1 hot dogs and $2 beers through the start of the second period. Then, the Wolf Pack play their final home game of the season Saturday night vs. the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on "Fan Appreciation Night", with faceoff at 7:00.
