Anaheim Ducks Announce Roster Move

SAN DIEGO - The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled defenseman Jaycob Megna from the San Diego Gulls, Anaheim's primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Megna, 24 (12/10/92), has collected 6-3844 points with a +55 rating and 57 penalty minutes (PIM) in 161 career AHL games with San Diego (2015-17) and Norfolk (2013-15). The 6-6, 224-pound defenseman also played three seasons with Nebraska-Omaha of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (2011-13) and National Collegiate Hockey Conference (2013-14), earning 4-1822 points with a +12 rating and 40 PIM in 105 games.

Selected by Anaheim in the seventh round (210th overall) of the 2012 NHL Draft, Megna recorded 5-2227 points with a +33 rating and 37 PIM in 60 games with the Gulls this season. At the time of his recall, Megna led the AHL in plus/minus while also ranking second among team defensemen in assists, tied for second in appearances and third in scoring. He set AHL career highs in several offensive categories with San Diego in 2016-17, including goals, assists, points and plus/minus.
