Rochester, NY- The Rochester Americans embark on their final three-in-three of the season with back-to-back home games on Friday, April 7 against the Hershey Bears and Saturday, April 8 versus the Utica Comets. Both games are slated for a 7:05 p.m. start at The Blue Cross Arena.
Ticket specials for this weekend's games include the Zweigle's Family Four Packs on Friday or the McDonald's Family Nights for Saturday. Zweigle's Family Four Packs are available for just $79 and includes four Lower Level tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas. The McDonald's Family Night package includes a four-pack of tickets for $49.95 or an individual ticket for just $15 for 100-Level Value Zone seating. Fans can pick up a McDonald's Family Night voucher at any participating McDonald's location that can be used to purchase one Best Available ticket or four Best Available tickets in person at The Blue Cross Arena Box Office or by calling 1-855-GO-AMERKS. Patrons can also enter a coupon code (MDC1 or MDC4) to purchase them online at www.ticketmaster.com.
The Genesee Pregame Happy Hour runs from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on both nights in the Genesee Brew House Upper Atrium Bar, featuring live music from Ryan Melquist (Friday) and The Dean's List (Saturday) with $2 drafts of Genesee and Genesee Light.
The Downtown Career Fair returns to The Blue Cross Arena from noon to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, offering a unique opportunity for local job seekers to connect with over 50 Rochester-area businesses that are currently hiring. The event will be followed by the 7:05 p.m. game between the Amerks and Hershey Bears. Job seeker registration for the event is free and includes one ticket voucher to the Amerks game that night and the opportunity to network with growing companies that have immediate job openings. Businesses can reserve their spot at the Downtown Career Fair for $300 ($150 for 501c-3 non-profit organizations), which includes one table, two free parking spots for the day in the Civic Center Garage, 20 tickets to the Amerks game to follow and complimentary refreshments and snacks. Greater Rochester Chamber members can purchase their booth space for $250. Friday's game against Hershey falls on AT&T Justin Bailey Bobblehead Night, where the first 1,500 fans will take home a limited edition Justin Bailey Bobblehead. Bailey was voted the winning Bobblehead through AT&T's Fan's Choice contest held earlier this season. Fans were awarded for their participation with an Amerks prize pack, courtesy of AT&T, each week during the month-long promotion, while one lucky grand-prize winner won 12 suite tickets to Friday's game, 12 Justin Bailey Bobbleheads, 12 Amerks hats and a post-game Meet and Greet with Bailey following the game. The third annual "Pink the Rink" Breast Cancer Awareness Night presented by Gilda's Club of Rochester will take place on Saturday when the Amerks host the Utica Comets at The Blue Cross Arena at 7:05 p.m. A portion of the proceeds from the game will be donated to Gilda's Club of Rochester, a non-profit organization committed to providing free networking and support groups, workshops, education and social activities for men, women teens and kids people of all ages affected by cancer. As part of the Pink the Rink game, the Amerks will wear special-edition pink jerseys to promote breast cancer awareness. Fans will have the opportunity to purchase these jerseys through a silent auction held during the game on The Blue Cross Arena concourse. Following the game, the winners of the auction will be able to take the ice and be presented with a "jersey off the back" from the Amerks players. Pink the Rink T-Shirt packages are on sale now. For just $25, fans can purchase a specialty pink Amerks T-shirt and one "best-available" ticket, with $2 from each package sold going to the game's overall fundraising effort.
