Wolf Pack Sign Goaltender Andrew Gallant to ATO

Hartford, March 23, 2007: Hartford Wolf Pack general manager/head coach Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the Wolf Pack have signed goaltender Andrew Gallant to an Amateur Tryout (ATO) agreement.

Gallant was recently named the 2006-07 winner of the Sid Watson Award, which goes annually to the NCAA Hockey Division III Player of the Year. In 26 appearances this year with Manhattanville College (Purchase, NY), the 24-year-old Gallant was 19-2-5, with a 1.91 goals-against average, a 92.8% save percentage and four shutouts. The 6-3, 200-pound native of Summerside, Prince Edward Island also captured ECAC Division III West Player of the Year honors. In four seasons at Manhattanville, Gallant compiled a total record of 50-10-6.

The Wolf Pack are back in action tonight, starting a three-game road weekend with a visit to Providence (7:05 PM faceoff). The Pack's next home game is next Friday, March 23rd, as they battle the Worcester Sharks (7:00).
