
Wolf Pack Make Roster Moves

HARTFORD, October 1, 2008: Hartford Wolf Pack general manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the parent New York Rangers have reassigned forward Evgeny Grachev from the Wolf Pack to the Brampton Battalion of the Ontario Hockey League. Also, goaltender Antoine Lafleur has been returned to the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
Those moves leave the Wolf Pack with 44 players on the training camp roster:

The Wolf Pack begin their four-game preseason schedule tonight, with a 7:00 PM game vs. the Worcester Sharks at the Koeppel Community Sports Center, located on the campus of Trinity College in Hartford. The game will benefit the Ryan Gordon/Hartford Wolf Pack Community Scholars Fund, and donations will be accepted at the door in lieu of an admission charge. The fund was established in memory of young Wolf Pack fan Ryan Gordon, who passed away in 2006 and asked that a portion of the monies set aside for his college education be donated to the Wolf Pack Community Foundation. There will also be a special pregame ceremony tonight, honoring Ryan's memory and the establishment of the fund. The Wolf Pack drop the puck on their 2008-09 regular season Saturday, October 11th, with a home game at the XL Center vs. the Springfield Falcons. That game is "Everyone's a Kid Night", meaning that all fans, regardless of age, can purchase tickets at the kids' price of $10 each. Tickets are on sale at the XL Center box office and all Ticketmaster locations, including Macy's at the Buckland Hills Mall and at the Westfarms Mall.
