Wolf Pack Invite Fans to Help Paint Ice Tuesday, September 10

HARTFORD, September 5, 2013: Global Spectrum announced today an opportunity for fans to participate in the painting of the XL Center ice markings Tuesday, September 10, starting at 2:00 PM. Hartford Wolf Pack single-game tickets for the 2013-14 season will also go on sale that day.

All those interested in taking part in, or simply getting a glimpse of, the ice-painting process, are asked to go to the XL Center atrium at 2:00 PM on September 10. Wolf Pack staff will escort all those assembled to ice level, where they will have a chance to take paint brush in hand and apply a portion of the special "Jet Ice" paint to one of the rink lines.

"The transformation of the ice sheet from blank white to a fully-marked hockey rink is an amazing process," said Chris Lawrence, general manager of the XL Center for Global Spectrum. "This is a great opportunity for all hockey fans to get a peek behind the scenes at all the preparation that goes into it, and to remember throughout the season a specific spot where they actually made their own mark on the Wolf Pack's home rink."

In conjunction with the ice-painting opportunity, tickets for all Wolf Pack 2013-14 home games will be available starting at 12 noon on September 10, at the Public Power Ticket Office at the XL Center and on-line at www.hartfordwolfpack.com. Wolf Pack tickets start as low as $12 for youth 12 years old or younger.

The Wolf Pack open their 2013-14 regular season Saturday, October 5 at the XL Center against the Norfolk Admirals. Faceoff for that game is 7:00 PM, and the full 2013-14 Wolf Pack regular season schedule can be viewed at www.hartfordwolfpack.com.
