UNIONDALE, N.Y. (Sept. 5, 2013) The New York Islanders announced today the signing of seven players to NHL tryout contracts. Goaltender Ken Reiter and defenseman Dallas Jackson agreed to professional tryout contracts (PTO) while forwards Greg Miller and Riley Wetmore, defensemen Mike Dalhuisen and Mike Keenan and goaltender Parker Milner all signed amateur tryout contracts (ATO).

Both Reiter and Jackson saw significant time with the Islanders' American Hockey League affiliate, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers during the 2012-13 season. After starting the season with Fort Wayne in the ECHL, Reiter, 26, played 12 games for the Sound Tigers. Though his record was 0-5-2, Reiter posted a solid 2.53 GAA and a .916 SV%. Jackson, 24, also split time between the ECHL and AHL last season. He logged 31 games with the Gwinnett Gladiators before a 21-game stint with the Sound Tigers in which he collected three assists.

The five players signing ATO contracts all played hockey collegiately last season. After their seasons ended, both Wetmore (UMass-Lowell) and Keenan (Dartmouth College), both 24, suited up for the Sound Tigers. Wetmore scored a goal in his three games while Keenan was credited with an assist in his five contests. Milner (Boston College), Dalhuisen (Quinnipiac University) and Miller (Cornell University) all signed deals at the end of their college careers. Islanders Rookie Camp will continue through Tuesday, Sept. 10 at Nassau Coliseum.
