HARTFORD, February 10, 2005: The Hartford Wolf Pack have been in a charitable mood as of late. On Monday, the team held their second annual "Tip-A-Player" night in support of Gaylord Hospital. The team raised almost $28,000 during the evening to support the rehabilitation hospital in Wallingford. On Saturday, the team will help the Red Cross Tsunami Relief efforts with various fundraising events at their game against Portland.

A portion of ticket proceeds, along with funds raised from 'Chuck-A-Puck', the 50-50 draw, and a silent auction of six Wolf Pack authentic autographed jerseys will go to the Red Cross Tsunami Relief Fund. The Wolf Pack will also take orders for special red "Pack Pride" bracelets, with proceeds going to the Fund.

Before the game, The Hartford and Dominic Moore will present a check for $1,000 to the Red Cross. Moore earned the "Hot Shot" Award for having the most points for the team in the first 40 games of the regular season. As a result, The Hartford donates $1,000 to the players' charity of choice.

Tickets are going fast for the game, as it is also Torpedo Bobblehead Night, where everyone in attendance will receive a bobblehead of the Wolf Pack mascot, and Jimmy Neutron will be at the game greeting children courtesy of Cox Media. A reminder to fans that game time is 7:35 p.m. Doors open an hour earlier.

The AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack hockey club is part of Madison Square Garden LP. Cablevision Systems Corporation owns a controlling interest in MSG LP, which also includes the New York Rangers (NHL), New York Knicks (NBA), the New York Liberty (WNBA), the MSG Network, Fox Sports Net and the Madison Square Garden arena complex.
