Sioux Falls Skyforce News Release

Bismarck, ND - The Sioux Falls Skyforce lost to the Dakota Wizards tonight 87-86 (5, 2) to move to 10-10 on the season. The 'Force had a chance to win as they had the ball with 6.7 seconds remaining, however, Noel Felix missed a finger roll at the buzzer that dropped the 'Force to .500. Dakota evened their record at 9-9 with the close win.

Contrary to the previous night, it was the Wizards who would play without a key player as Billy Thomas sat out the game with an injury. Brandon Hunter was back in the lineup after sitting out Tuesday night's game with a bad case of the flu. The 'Force played well in the opening quarter and won the quarter 24-21 as Geoff Husted missed a three-pointer at the buzzer that would have tied the quarter. The Wizards bounced back and won the next two quarters 28-23 and 25-20 to take a 74-67 lead heading into the final quarter. The Wizards led by 10 points (83-73) and appeared to be on their way to an easy victory with less than 6:00 to go in the game. However, the 'Force stormed back and after a miss by James Maye they had possession of the ball with 6.7 seconds left and trailed by one point, 87-86. Felix would miss a shot at the buzzer and once again the 'Force could not steal a game at the Bismarck Civic Center.

The Skyforce's next game is tomorrow night at home against the Idaho Stampede. Tip-off is set for 7:05 pm at the Sioux Falls Arena.

Game Highlights:
