BISMARCK N.D., April 6, 2007 - In front of over 3,000 fans at the Bismarck Civic Center, the Dakota Wizards won a crucial divisional game against the Fort Worth Flyers tonight 111 - 87. Behind a total team effort that included seven players in double figures, the Wizards were led by guards Corey Williams with 20 points and Moe Baker who added 14 points and collected a game high 15 rebounds.
"That's a huge win regardless of the standings," said head coach Dave Joerger. "Our guys know if they play together they will win together and that is just fun to watch".
GATORADE All D-League first teamer Renaldo Major finished with 19 points on the night, while center Rod Benson recorded another double double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
The Fort Worth Flyers, who fall to 27-20 were held to 38% shooting from the field while turning the ball over 19 times in the contest. Former Wizard Curtis Stinson paced the Flyers with 13 points and a team high six assists. Forward Terrance Thomas added a double double off the bench with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
Eastern Division leading Dakota Wizards, now 30-16 continue their home stand tomorrow night at the Bismarck Civic Center when rival Sioux Falls Skyforce come to town for a 7:00 tipoff. The Flyers travel home to face the Austin Toros at 7:00 CT
