Wizards Forward Earns trip to All-Star Game

Bismarck, N.D., Feb. 6, 2007 "" Dakota Wizards forward Renaldo Major will lead the Eastern Division team in Las Vegas during the first ever NBA Development All-Star game on Saturday, February 17. Major, who was signed to a 10-day contact by the Golden State Warriors on January 18, made his return to the Wizards lineup last week. The 6'7 guard is averaging 18.5 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game.
"This is a well-deserved honor for Renaldo", said Wizards Head Coach Dave Joerger. "First a call-up and now this, to see his progression from when he was in junior college to now being a D-League All-Star, I couldn't be happier for him."
The All-Star game will be held on Center Court at NBA All-Star Jam Session presented by adidas at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. The game will tip off at 4 p.m. CT and will be televised live on NBA TV.
The two 10-man rosters were selected by a combination of fan balloting on D-LEAGUE.com and voting of the league's 12 head coaches. Prior to the game, East head coach Sidney Moncrief (Fort Worth) and West head coach Joe Wolf (Colorado) will choose starting lineups for their respective teams.
