Winterhawks Hosting Mascot Night & Guys' Night this Weekend

The Portland Winterhawks will be hosting two popular promotions this weekend, as Friday is George Morlan Plumbing Supply Mascot Night, and Saturday will be Widmer Brothers Guys' Night presented by 99.5 The Wolf and Standard TV & Appliance, with a grand prize of a trip to the Academy of Country Music Awards.

Team mascot Tom-a-Hawk is bringing his mascot friends to the popular George Morlan Plumbing Supply Mascot Night Friday when the Winterhawks host the Seattle Thunderbirds at 7 p.m. at the Moda Center. There will be over 20 mascots entertaining fans on the concourse before and during the game, leading up to a mascot hockey game during the second intermission.

Saturday the Hawks are hosting Widmer Brothers Guys' Night presented by 99.5 The Wolf and Standard TV & Appliance against the Victoria Royals at 7 p.m. at the Moda Center. All men 18+ in attendance can sign up before and during the game to win a grand prize of a trip for two to the Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas. There will also be a guys' puck shoot on the ice after the game, with those who score a goal winning a gift certificate to the Widmer Brothers Gasthaus. Standard TV & Appliance will also give away up to $900 in store credit to four lucky fans.

People won't want to miss seeing their favorite mascots on the ice for their annual hockey game," said Portland Winterhawks President Doug Piper. "Then Saturday's Guys' Night grand prize of a trip to Las Vegas for the Academy of Country Music Awards is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity music fans can't pass up."
