Winnipeg Takes Game Two Of Series, Rubber Match Set For Tonight

Sioux City-----Winnipeg scored seven runs in the ninth inning Tuesday as they snapped a four-game losing streak with an 11-6 win over the Explorers.

The Explorers had a 6-4 lead going into the ninth inning as Brett Flowers connected on a two-run home run in the sixth inning to give the Explorers the lead. It was Flowers' second home run of the game as Sioux City hit a season high four home runs in the contest, but in a losing effort. Ray Serrano and Ryan Priddy also hit solo home runs for the Explorers. The seven-run ninth inning came at the hands of relief pitcher Eddie Delacruz who took the loss after picking up his seventh save of the year on Monday. Winnipeg sent 12 batters to the plate in the ninth when they scored their seven runs. Dustin Jones extended his hitting streak to 16 games, the longest of any Explorer this season.
