Amarillo 5, Fort Worth 4

Amarillo scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth to edge Fort Worth 5-4. The Cats scored three runs in the top of the sixth to temporarily take a 4-1 lead, but the Sox responded with four in the bottom half of the frame to reclaim the lead. Sox 3B Van Pope hit a three-run homer in the decisive sixth inning to lead Amarillo with three RBIs. Amarillo C Kevin Butler had a double and an RBI in the game, and 1B Cyle Hankerd went 3-for-4 with a run scored and a double. Starting pitcher Matt Elliott earned the win for Amarillo by pitching eight innings and allowing four runs on eight hits. Cody Evans worked a scoreless ninth to earn the save for Amarillo. Fort Worth 1B Trent Lockwood homered in a losing effort for the Cats.

Lincoln 9, El Paso 0

Lincoln starting pitcher Jino Gonzalez pitched seven solid shutout innings and earned the win as the Saltdogs blanked El Paso 9-0. Gonzalez scattered six hits and fanned six hitters while walking just one. Saltdogs 1B Phil Hawke homered and had two RBIs in the game. Lincoln LF Gavin Dickey went 3-for-5 with a home run, three runs scored and an RBI, and DH Rafael Alvarez hit a solo home run for Lincoln. Third baseman Curt Smith and RF Jorge Cortes each collected an RBI for the Saltdogs.

Wichita 14, Fargo-Moorhead 9

Wichita plated 10 runs in the first inning and then outlasted Fargo-Moorhead to take a 14-9 win. Wingnuts SS Josh Horn led Wichita with four RBIs. Horn went 2-for-4 at the plate with a double and two runs scored. Wichita CF Brent Clevlen homered twice in the game and collected three RBIs. Wingnuts C Edwin Bellorin went 2-for-4 with a home run, and 3B Juan Richardson went 4-for-5 with a double and an RBI. Starting pitcher Chad Sherman earned the win for Wichita, tossing six innings and allowing four runs on seven hits. For the RedHawks, SS Zach Penprase went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs in the loss.

Gary SouthShore 8, Sioux Falls 6

The Gary SouthShore RailCats defeated the visiting Sioux Falls Pheasants 8-6. The RailCats scored at least one run in every inning except the first and eighth frames. RailCats C Craig Maddox led Gary SouthShore with two RBIs. Maddox went 3-for-4 with a triple and a run scored. First baseman Mike Rohde hit a solo home run for the RailCats, and RF Cristian Guerrero went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI and three runs scored. Gary SouthShore's Brian Grening earned the win, tossing a scoreless 1.1 innings in relief, and Travis Minix earned the save. Pheasants CF Reggie Abercrombie homered twice in the Sioux Falls loss.

Grand Prairie 7, Shreveport-Bossier 5 (10 Innings)

After seeing their 5-4 lead slip away in the bottom of the ninth, the Grand Prairie AirHogs recovered to defeat Shreveport-Bossier 7-5 in extra innings. AirHogs 1B John Alonso collected two RBIs in the game, and 2B David Espinosa had a home run in the game. Grand Prairie LF Chris McMurray and 1B Jake Taylor scored the two go-ahead runs in the top of the tenth inning. Jon Hunton earned the win for the AirHogs by pitching two innings and allowing one run on three hits. Captains DH Palmer Karr Jr. homered in a losing effort for Shreveport-Bossier.

St. Paul 7, Kansas City 3

The St. Paul Saints broke a 3-3 tie by scoring four runs in the bottom of the eighth as they went on to defeat Kansas City 7-3. In the decisive eighth frame, SS Adam Frost hit a two-RBI. Frost 2-for-5 in the game with two RBIs and two runs scored. Saints DH Ole Sheldon also collected two RBIs in the game. First baseman Jason Cooper batted in a run as well for St. Paul. Saints reliever Kyle Foster was credited with the win for pitching the final 2.2 innings without allowing a run. T-Bones DH Jim Fasano had three RBIs in a losing effort.

Winnipeg - Sioux City (Game in Progress)

The game between Winnipeg and Sioux City is still in progress. The game is tied 6-6 in the bottom of the 11th inning.
