Brooklyn, NY- The Cyclones four-game winning streak came to an end Saturday night, with a tough 5-0 loss to the Aberdeen IronBirds. The Brooklyn offense was kept in check throughout the night, managing only four hits in the contest.

Aberdeen struck early in the top of the first inning and the 1-0 advantage was all the IronBirds would need. The IronBirds added another run in the fourth on a Bobby Parnell wild pitch, and extended the lead to 3-0 after the seventh. Two insurance runs were tacked on in the top half of the eighth to complete the scoring and hand the Cyclones a 5-0 loss.

Bobby Parnell (2-2) pitched five solid innings in the loss, allowing two runs on three hits, while walking two and striking out four. Greg Gonzalez continued to swing the bat well, connecting on a single in three trips to the plate.

The Cyclones look to rebound tomorrow against Aberdeen and salvage a split of the two game series, game time beginning at 5:00pm. Sunday is Warner Fusselle Bobblehead Night, presented to the first 2,500 fans by Pepsi. In addition fans are invited on the field before the game for an autograph session, as well as after the game when children are invited to run around the bases. Also, Hall-of-Famer, Juan Marichal will be available of the concourse for autographs during the contest.
