
Wingstop of Sacramento Valley Named Official Wings of the Stockton Thunder

RICHARDSON, Texas - Wingstop of Sacramento Valley today announced its status as the Official Wings of the Stockton Thunder!
The chicken wing chain will celebrate the new partnership and the start of hockey season with an Atomic Wing Eating Challenge Saturday, September 29, from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. at the Wingstop in Antelope, Calif.
Located at 4400 Elverta Rd. in Antelope, Wingstop will host local favorite radio "The Fan" KHTK-1140 onsite during the challenge for a live radio broadcast and giveaway.
Wingstop will award first, second and third place to the top three contestants who finish the most Atomic-flavored wings in two-timed rounds. The Grand-Prize winner will receive a $50 Wingstop gift card and event tickets from 1140 "The Fan" . Second-place will win four tickets to a Stockton Thunder hockey game, and third-place will receive a $25 Wingstop gift card.
All participants will receive a Wingstop Atomic Challenge T-shirt and during the event, guests will have access to a special offer of "5 Free Wings" with the purchase of a 32oz fountain drink from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.
"We are the wing experts, and an Atomic wing-eating challenge featuring our hottest flavor is the perfect way to get ready for hockey season and celebrate that we are now the Official Wings of the Stockton Thunder," said John Allen, owner of the Antelope store. "We're excited to see who can handle the most Atomic wings and get ready for hockey season."
Who: Wingstop will host an Atomic wing-eating challenge to celebrate hockey season and its status as the Official Wings of the Stockton Thunder. Made with habanero peppers, Atomic are the spiciest wings on the Wingstop menu.
What: Contestants can register in-store or by phone. The first contestant to eat the most Atomic-flavored wings out of two timed rounds on Saturday, September 29, will be crowned the Wingstop Atomic Wing Champion. Prizes and giveaways throughout the event include:
- Grand Prize: $50 Wingstop gift card, event tickets from1140 "The Fan"
- 2nd Place: 4 tickets to a Stockton Thunder Hockey Game
- 3rd Place: $25 Wingstop gift card

As the Official Wings of the Stockton Thunder, Wingstop will also host "Wingstop Wing of the Night" at every home game. If a specified player scores during the game, fans in attendance will be able to redeem a prize through Wingstop's texting program that will offer 5 Free Boneless Wings with the purchase of a 20oz fountain drink or regular fresh cut seasoned fries. The offer will be good for 24 hours at all participating Sacramento area locations.
The Stockton Thunder, a proud member of the ECHL and affiliate of the National Hockey League's Edmonton Oilers, has provided fans with a supreme game night experience for seven years and consistently draws one of the top crowds in the "ËAA' professional hockey league. The Thunder has seen over 1.5 million fans visit Stockton Arena for games since 2005-06 and led the league in attendance from 2005-09.

The Thunder will also host a Wingstop "Wing Eating Contest" during two Sunday home games this season, Nov. 18 and Mar. 17. Both games will start at 4:00 p.m. and select fans in attendance will be invited to join-in the tastiest food competition to ever faceoff at a hockey game.
