IceMen Unveil Radio Details

EVANSVILLE, IN.--- The Evansville IceMen, approaching their debut as members of the ECHL in the league's 25th Anniversary Season and proud affiliate of the Columbus Blue Jackets and St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League and the Springfield Falcons and Peoria Rivermen of the American Hockey League, have unveiled their best-ever yet complete radio presentation for the 2012-13 ECHL pro hockey season.

For the first time in their relatively brief pro hockey history, the IceMen radio flagship home will be through the FM BAND with the premiere of the all-new WEOA-FM 98.5 which will join original flagship home of WEOA-AM 1400 in presenting live, every IceMen game, pre-season, regular season and ECHL Kelly Cup Playoffs.

Also to be included in this season's IceMen full radio package will be the continued growth and expansion of the IceMen Radio Network which has been increased to seven top-drawer outlets throughout the Tri-State region. The soon-to-be-arriving IceMen season on radio will continue to feature the popular Monday night show, "IceMen Live Presented by Coors Light" as well as the expansion to 18-different radio stations in the Tri-State area in presenting the "IceMen Hockey Update" daily report.

Concerning the IceMen Game Broadcasts, the all-new WEOA-FM 98.5 will be joining WEOA-AM 1400 for a third consecutive year as the IceMen official radio flagship stations, presenting every game, home and away, in its entirety. Once again this season, the IceMen Game Broadcasts will consist of an one-half hour pre-game show as well as the play-by-play action followed by the "IceMen Star of the Game Show" immediately following all home game originations, capped by the post-game show which will be programmed after each game throughout the season.

Moreover, the IceMen Game Broadcasts will be presented on an ever-growing "Evansville IceMen Radio Network." In 2012-13, there will be an unprecedented seven different radio stations actively participating, representing an increase from last year's network which was comprised of four various outlets.

Returning for a second year in joining the all-new WEOA-FM 98.5 and WEOA-AM 1400, will be WMSK-AM 1550 FOX SPORTS RADIO, THE SPORTS EDGE in Morganfield, Kentucky and WITZ-AM 990 and WITZ-FM 104.7 in Jasper, Indiana.

The newest additions to the IceMen Radio Network lineup are WLME-FM 102.7, ESPN RADIO, "THE GAME" in Owensboro, Kentucky and WVLN-AM 740 FOX SPORTS RADIO, in Olney, Illinois.

WMSK-AM 1550, WLME-FM 102.7 and WVLN-AM 740 will carry the IceMen full schedule of games while WITZ-AM 990 and WITZ-FM 104.7 will present a select number of games for the season.

The IceMen first game broadcasts are set for their initial appearances of the campaign when they travel to Fort Wayne to rekindle hostilities with their principal archrivals, the Komets in a weekend pair of pre-season encounters; Saturday, October 6th at 6:30 pm and Sunday, October 7th at 4:00 pm with broadcast times being 6:00 pm and 3:30 pm respectively.

The popular Monday night radio show "IceMen Live Presented by Coors Light" officially returns for its third straight year, Monday, September 24th from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The IceMen radio show is presented every Monday night throughout the hockey season, live from Show-Me's East and on flagship radio homes WEOA-FM 98.5 and WEOA-AM 1400.

More major expansion for IceMen radio this upcoming season comes in the form of the IceMen daily reports, known as "The IceMen Hockey Update." Presented everyday even when there is not a game, the IceMen daily radio reports will be heard in '12-13 on an unparalleled 18-radio stations throughout the Tri-State, commencing, Monday, September 24th.

The IceMen daily report will be heard on flagship radio WEOA-FM 98.5 and WEOA-AM 1400 in Evansville Monday through Friday at 4:20 pm. In addition, fans can catch-up on their favorite pro hockey team through the Townsquare Media family of stations on a daily basis as well; WGBF-FM 103.1 at 4:40 pm; WGBF-AM 1280 at 4:50 pm; WKDQ-FM 99.5 at 4:35 pm; WJLT-FM 105.3 at 4:45 pm; WDKS-FM 106.1 at 4:35 pm; WBKR-FM 92.5 in Owensboro, KY at 4:40 pm and WOMI-AM 1490 at 4:50 pm, also in Owensboro, KY.

More radio outlets for the IceMen daily reports will be WSON-AM 860 and WSON-FM 96.5 in Henderson, KY at 4:25 pm; WMSK-AM 1550 in Morganfield, KY at 7:30 am and 4:30 pm; WMSK-FM 101.3 at 4:35 pm; WITZ-AM 990 and WITZ-FM 104.7 in Jasper, IN at 8:20 am, 12:20 and 4:25 pm.

Also programming the IceMen daily radio reports will be newcomers WLME-FM 102.7, Owensboro, KY at 4:26 pm; WRAY-AM 1250, Princeton, IN at 4:20 pm and ESPN Radio, WYFX-FM 106.7, Mount Vernon, IN.

"THE VOICE OF THE ICEMEN," TERRY FICORELLI, beginning his 39th year calling pro hockey, will be at the "mike" for all of the IceMen Game Broadcasts, Monday night "IceMen Live Presented by Coors Light" radio show as well as the "IceMen Hockey Update" daily reports on all 18-participating radio stations.
