
Wings Win Friday Night Shootout

Mack Byers scored in the seventh round of the shootout to give the Aberdeen Wings a 3-2 shootout victory over the Austin Bruins. Cooper Haar opened the scoring in the first period with his 17th goal of the season. Jaden Shields netted his fourth of the season to tie the game after 40 minutes. Nathan Solis gave Austin it's first lead of the night but it was short lived as Antonio DiPaolo tied the game just over three minutes later. Henry Welsch stopped 29 shots in regulation and six of seven shooters in the skills competition. Brett Miller made 33 saves in the loss.
Both teams are at it again tonight at the Odde! Tonight is the annual Yelduz Shrine Teddy Bear Toss! Bring a stuffed animal or buy one in the lobby to throw onto the ice after the first Wings goal! All stuffed animals will be donates to the Yelduz Shrine! Proceeds from any stuffed animal purchased in the lobby will be donated to Kids Against Hunger! The Yelduz Shrine is tonights Corporate Game Sponsor.
