Wings Tipoff Season Versus Atlanta Dream

Arlington, Texas - The Dallas Wings (0-0) tipoff the season at home against the Atlanta Dream (0-0) on Saturday, May 7, at College Park Center.
Wings guard Arike Ogunbowale enters the game as the eighth-leading scorer in Dallas Wings history (1,730) and a chance to break into the top five this season should she continue her 500-point season streak. Ogunbowale is the only player in the WNBA who has currently scored at least 500 points in the past three seasons, and a lot of her damage has come from beyond the arc. In addition to her scoring, Ogunbowale set a franchise record with 80-made threes last season, the most in the WNBA.
The game will also feature the debut of two top draft picks, as the Atlanta Dream's Rhyne Howard (Kentucky, 1st overall) and the Dallas Wings's Veronica Burton (Northwestern, 7th overall) take the court for the first time as professionals.
Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m. and the broadcast is on the CBS Sports Network and Bally Sports Southwest Extra.
