
Wings Lose 2 to Magicians

The Aberdeen Wings lost their 3rd and 4th consecutive games over the weekend against the Minnesota Magicians on the road. The Wings are now 7-7-0 and sitting 3rd in the NAHL Central Division.
Friday night, the Wings fell to the Magicians 4-1. Aberdeen got the first goal of the game thanks to a goal from #18 Austin Swingle (F-St. Cloud, MN) with an assist to #13 Michael Soucier (F-Caledon, Ontario). The Magicians answered with two goals in the first period and another two in the third period to secure the win. Wings goaltender #1 Chad Catt (G-Williamstown, MI) stopped 22 of 26 shots on goal.
Saturday night, the Wings were shutout by the Magicians losing 2-0. An early goal by Minnesota set the pace for the game. At the 7:16 mark, the Magicians would get another goal. Wings goaltender #35 Andrew Shortridge (G-Eagle River, AK) stopped 23 of 25 shots.
