KALAMAZOO, MI-Peter Szabo and Brent Gretzky lead the Mechanics with two points each, however, the Kalamazoo Wings score three unanswered goals to take the game 5-2 tonight at Wings stadium.

The Wings took the early 2-0 lead in the first but the Mechanics would cut the lead in half with one minute and 46 seconds remaining in the period. Greg Bullock scored on the extra man with the assists from Peter Szabo and Brent Gretzky.

The Mechanics made it 2-2 when Brent Gretzky scored on the power play just 51 seconds into the second period. Szabo, again added the assist and Matt Smith had the other assist.

From that point on the Wings would score three straight goals and held on to the lead to take the game 5-2.

Rod Branch, the marathon man, made his 32nd start in net and made 39 saves on 44 shots in the loss.

The Mechanics remain on the road for the next four games in which they will face three divisional opponents. Tomorrow they travel to face Fort Wayne, game time is 5:00 p.m..
