
Windsor Sets Mark with Double OT Victory

(BRAMPTON, ONTARIO) It took a while, but the Windsor Express have won 12 straight - a new National Basketball League of Canada record.
Chris Commons had 30 points, including five huge markers in the second overtime session, as the Express outlasted Brampton 126-121.
Windsor (26-7) got off to a poor start and trailed Brampton at one point by 21 points, but cut the deficit to 14 at the half.
In the second half, the Express outscored the A's 26-19 and 25-18 to bring them back and forced overtime with a defensive stand at the end of the fourth quarter.
Stefan Bonneau missed a three-pointer at the end of the first overtime period, keeping the game tied at 113-113.
Bonneau had 22 for Windsor, followed by DeAndre Thomas and Quinnel Brown, each with 19.
Cavell Johnson led the A's (22-11) with 19 points of his own.
With the win, Windsor expands their lead in the NBL Central Division to 4 games over the A's.
The two teams won't have to wait long to face off again.
Windsor hosts Brampton at 2:00pm at the WFCU Centre tomorrow, Sunday, February 16th.
Sunday is a day filled with basketball action as the WECSSA Championships will be held at the WFCU Centre throughout the day, starting at 9:30am.
