
Power Get No Love from Express on Valentine's Day

(Windsor, ON - ) The Mississauga Power traveled to Windsor today for game two of a three game road trip. The teams played a tight match but the Power ended up falling 114-119 in a game full of offensive firepower. Morgan Lewis led all scorers with 28 points and also added 9 rebounds. Jaushay Rockett added 21 points and 9 rebounds in his second game of the season. Stefan Bonneau led the Express with 24 points.
The Express came out of the gate on a 24-10 run before the Power responded and cut the lead to seven. The Power took the momentum into the second quarter, with George Williams and Morgan Lewis combining for 20 of the team's 35 second quarter points. The Express took a 57-54 lead heading into the second half.
The Express started firing on all cylinders in the third quarter, starting off on a 14-4 run before Alex Johnson and "Bo" Harris made two baskets to stop the run. The Express finished the quarter on another 9-1 run, outscoring the Power 40-24 in quarter and taking a 97-78 lead into the final frame. The Power responded by outplaying the Express 36-22 in the final quarter. The Power clawed back to within two points with just 20 seconds remaining in the game but were not able to take the lead as the team fell to 9-27 for the season.
The Power will travel to Ottawa on Sunday to face the SkyHawks in a first round playoff preview before returning to the Hershey Centre for a rematch with the Express on February 20th.
