SkyHawks win 104-99
Ottawa - In the second last game of this regular season at Canadian Tire Centre, the SkyHawks tip off against the London Lightning. Opening ceremonial "O Canada" sang by SkyHawks very own #44 Ryan Anderson. In keeping with SkyHawks home game tradition, the crowd of one thousand stood on their feet for two and a half minutes until the first basket was scored, today courtesy of Justin Tubbs.
Tirrell Baines finished the first quarter with a sweet above the rim put-back slam ending it in a tie 21-21.
Second quarter as fast paced as the first with Mike Rose and Fred Sturdivant providing a spark off the bench. Both teams running the transition game effectively ending in a 47 to 44 lead by the SkyHawks and an impeccable three pointer by Anderson.
All through the third quarter Mike Rose was hot behind the arc hitting several three pointers keeping the SkyHawks close to London's lead at end of third with score of 77-74.
Most exciting fourth quarter of the season as the game was a steady back and forth with neither team leading by more than 4 points at any time. Anderson hit a couple of big three's down the stretch and Jerice Crouch sealed the win with the SkyHawks with a fast break layup to end 104-99.
