Windsor Returns with Eighth Straight Win

(LONDON, ONTARIO) Despite 19 days off, the Windsor Express looked to be in peak form, winning their eighth in a row, 107-100 at Budweiser Gardens on Thursday night against the London Lightning.

The eight game winning streak matches a franchise record, set between February 27th and March 24th last season.

The Express (22-7) got 20+ point nights from Stefan Bonneau (game high 25), Darren Duncan (23) and Chris Commons (21), fueling the team's effort.

Bonneau and Duncan each had five assists and Kevin Loiselle hustled his way to eight rebounds.

Windsor was down by one going into the break, but came out strong in the second half, pulling away with a 34-19 run through the third quarter.

With the victory, the Express now hold a 3.5 game lead over the Lightning (20-12) and increase their advantage over idle Brampton (20-10) to 2.5.

Windsor gets another crack at London tonight, Friday, February 7th, when they host the Lightning at the WFCU Centre at 7:00pm.

It's the first Coors Molson "Friday Night Out", which features a ticket, a hot dog and a 20 oz. beer for only $24.50.

"Hats on for Healthcare" will be at the game, collecting money for Windsor Regional Hospital and the day features the All-Star Game of the Tourni Francophone de Basketball Masculin.
