
Express Have Record Setting Night

(WINDSOR, ONTARIO) It was a slow start for the Windsor Express, but the finish was one for the record books.
The London Lightning (20-13) got off to a 30-12 lead off the tip, but couldn't contain the Express (23-7) forever, as Windsor pulled off a 97-80 victory at the WFCU Centre on Friday night.
With the win, the Express have set franchise records for consecutive wins at 9 games and wins in a season with 23.
Windsor has 10 games left in their regular season schedule.
Stefan Bonneau and Quinnel Brown each led the team with 21 points.
Darren Duncan added a double-double with 13 assists and 13 points.
London's Stephen McDowell had a game high 23 points in a losing cause.
The Lightning won the first quarter 26-10, but Windsor erased that with a 32-13 second quarter. The Express finished the deal by holding London to only 14 points in the final frame.
Windsor now plans for an odd 10:30am start time in Ottawa on Tuesday morning.
The next Express home game is Friday, February 14th at 7:00pm when they host the Mississauga Power.
