The Somerset Patriots had their eight-game win streak snapped on Saturday afternoon, losing to the Portland Sea Dogs by a final score of 5-1.

The eight-game win streak tied Somerset's longest in Double-A franchise history (9/4/21-9/12/21).

RHP Blane Abeyta (5.2 IP, 5 R, 4 ER, 7 H, 3 BB, 3 K, HR) eclipsed 5+ innings pitched for the 16th time in 23 appearances this season.

1B Mickey Gasper (1-for-3, RBI, 2B) brought home the Patriots' only run with an RBI-double that scored Ben R ice in the seventh inning.

2B Anthony Seigler (0-for-2, BB, K) started his eighth career game at second base and in the eighth inning, he turned the first triple play in Somerset Patriots Double-A franchise history by snaring a line drive and doubling up on runners at second and third base by throwing to shortstop Caleb Durbin.
