Owen Sound Attack News Release
The Owen Sound Attack has named sophomore forward Garrett Wilson the Becker Shoes Attacker of the Week for the week ending Monday, November 23, 2009. The Florida Panthers draft pick finished the three game week with 4 goals and 1 assist.
Wilson started off his week big on Wednesday evening when the Attack played host to Saginaw. Despite a 7-5 loss, Wilson managed to net his first hat trick of the season while picking up an assist.
Saturday evening, Wilson and the Attack played the first of a weekend set at home against the Erie Otters. The Attack won both games by scores of 3-1 and 3-2 with Wilson picking up a goal in the Saturday evening match.
Honorable mention goes to Jesse Blacker who had a 1 goal and 3 assists, Steven Shipley who had 4 assists and Jordan Binnington who stopped 56 of 58 shots in yesterday's 3-2 win.
The Attack is back at home this Saturday, November 28th when they play hose to the Belleville Bulls. Game time is 7:30pm.
