Ottawa 67's News Release
Yesterday's game was very special as it was our Ottawa 67's Green Game. The Green Game was presented by Topia Greenstop and Real Cafe to help show all the fans how to help our environment. President and CEO of Topia Greenstop, Govindh Jayaraman, helped out today by dropping the puck at the ceremonial face-off, before the game got under way.
The game was completely one-sided as our boys came out flying, scoring the game's first five goals. Lots of players had big nights individually, like Tyler Toffoli, Dalton Smith, Thomas Nesbitt, Cody Lindsay and Tyler Cuma. Goaltender Chris Perugini wasn't tested very much, but was solid when he needed to be. Overall it was a great game by our boys as they keep their winning streak going.
Yesterdays first intermission had a very special activity called the Topia On-ice Recycling Race. This game was a challenge to put the proper kind of recyclable materials into the proper bins. The crowd had lots of fun watching the teams sorting through all their materials. Who knew recycling could be so much fun!?
The second intermission featured the Nepean IP Firebolts, who entertained us all with their skill and determination. Most of the players were only 5 years old, but everyone could tell that we had some future 67's on our hands! Great playing guys!
As always we managed to fit in time for Disco Denny and the Chicken Dance! Fans young and old all had a good laugh as several minor hockey teams decided to swarm the aisles and try the dance for themselves! And of course our lovely and talented SixO PowerDancers stole the show with their very own rendition of the chicken dance, great job girls!
Join us next Friday, November 27th when our boys will be up against the Oshawa Generals. As always we'll be right there with you, writing from in the stands!

Our fan of the game is, birthday boy, Ryan. Ryan's favourite part about coming to games is watching our 67's score big goals, especially when it's his favourite player, Thomas Nesbitt.
Happy Birthday Ryan!
Our season ticket holder of the game is Micheal Scharf. He has been a season ticket holder for the last 5 years now, but has been a fan for even longer! Micheal loves the fantastic atmosphere in the stands and the fun he has cheering on his favourite team.
Thanks for supporting our boys Micheal!
Our group of the game is the Orleans Saints Bantam House B team. They cheered on our boys all game long, and even entertained the crowd with a team rendition of the chicken dance!
Great dancing boys!
Our profiled player is 67's captain Tyler Cuma. Tyler had 2 assists yesterday and was an absolute force on defence. Tyler is proud to captain the OHL's best franchise and loves the atmosphere the fans bring to the rink every game.
Keep up the good work Tyler!
