Wilmington Blue Rocks Game Postponed

Wilmington, DE- Saturday's game between the Wilmington Blue Rocks (12-28) and the Carolina Mudcats has been postponed due to rain. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Sunday, May 22, with the first pitch scheduled for 1:05 p.m. Fans that purchased tickets to Saturday night's game can redeem the ticket to any game within a calendar year of the originally scheduled game.

The Rocks will look to make it back-to-back wins to start the series against the Mudcats after their 8-2 win on Friday night. The win was highlighted by Brandon Downes' third-inning grand slam, the first grand slam hit by a Wilmington player at Frawley Stadium since John Whittleman launched one against Winston-Salem on May 11, 2011. The Blue Crew will toss RHP Derek Gordon (0-0, 5.64) and newly added LHP Foster Griffin (0-1, 4.26) in the doubleheader. Fans interested in attending the game can purchase tickets at the Frawley Stadium ticket office or call the Blue Rocks at 302-888-BLUE.
