HIGHLIGHTS: Williamsport bats exploded for 7 runs in the first three innings on Monday night in Aberdeen en route to a 9-5 win over the IronBirds. 1B Steven Pearce got things started with a 2-run homer in the 1st inning. The Cutters then plated four more runs in the 2nd and one each, in the 3rd, 5th and 6th. 2B Cameron Blair had 2 hits including his first homer of the year, a solo-shot in the 5th. Despite allowing 5 earned runs in 5.1 innings of work Luis Munoz (3-0) notched his third victory of the season. Williamsport is now 7-7 on the year including records of 3-3 at home and 4-4 on the road. The Cutters wrap up the quick 3-game road trip Tuesday night in Aberdeen.
