Swift Current Broncos News Release
The Toronto Maple Leafs announced this weekend that 19-year-old forward Jeremy Williams has been returned to the Swift Current Broncos. In addition, the Los Angeles Kings announced that 20-year-old defenceman Aaron Rome has also been reassigned to the Broncos. Williams was drafted in the seventh round in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft by the Maple Leafs. He lead Swift Current in scoring last season, and was seventh in the WHL with 41 goals and 52 assists for 93 points. Rome was drafted in the fourth round by the Kings at the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. He was eighth in WHL defencemen scoring with 12 goals and 44 assists for 56 points in 2002/03. Both Williams and Rome will be in the line-up on Tuesday when the Broncos host the Red Deer Rebels. This leaves two Broncos still at NHL Training Camps with Ian White still with Toronto, and Matej Trojovsky with Carolina.
