
Will Roberts Dominates in Captains 6-0 Victory

Lake County Captains News Release
(Eastlake, OH) - Will Roberts (2-1) got the win while he pitched seven shutout innings allowing just four base hits and fanned three Bees. Roberts did not walk a hitter. The seven innings pitched was a new season high for the right-hander. The Captains won 6-0 on Saturday afternoon at Classic Park.
The Captains got on the board in the second inning when Alex Lavisky led off with a single to center field. One hitter later he was rounding third on the Robel Garcia double to right field.
In the third inning, the Captains added on. Lake County batted around in the inning and scored four times. Alex Monsalve had a two-strike base hit, which plated two and made the score 3-0 Captains. They added two more in the inning when Jerrud Sabourin singled home Monsalve. Leonardo Castilllo got in on the action as he laced a double off the left field wall scoring Alex Lavisky, who walked, from first base.
Captains also sent Cole Cook out to the mound. Cook went two innings he gave up one hit struck out three and walked one. Captains pitching only walked one hitter on the entire afternoon.
The Bees starting pitcher Jose Macias (1-3) took the loss. Macias tossed three innings allowing eight hits, five earned runs with two walks and three strikeouts. The Burlington Bullpen did a nice job of scattering six hits and just gave up one earned run. The Captains won the game six to nothing. The Captains have twirled three shutouts now on the season.
The Captains stay at Classic Park on Sunday Afternoon at 1:00PM. The Captains will take on the Burlington Bees and send RHP Joe Colon (1-2, 4.26) to the mound against RHP Raul Alcantara (0-3, 7.79) for the Bees. The Bees are visiting Classic Park for the only time in two years with this three game set in Eastlake.
