Your Wildcats pick up a big win this afternoon at Centre 200, 10-3 over the Screaming Eagles! We will have a rematch of this one Wednesday night at the Avenir Centre at 7:00 p.m. where the Cats will look to pick up back-to-back wins in this tight race for playoff positioning.
It was quite the start for Moncton who came out firing, scoring two minutes into this one and wouldn't let up for the rest of the period. After the first the Wildcats had a five goal lead with the score at 6-1. First period goals went to Hudson, Pataki, Giguère, Cyr (2) and Seitz.
The second period only added one more to the score sheet for Moncton - and was Mika Cyr's third of the night, and his first career hat trick!
Moncton would go on to add three more in the third, one of which was a penalty shot goal by Elliot Desnoyers to make the final 10-3!
This game had a little bit of everything and saw your Wildcats firing on all cylinders with four power play goals, two short handed markers and a penalty shot goal!
First star tonight went deservingly to Mika Cyr with the hat trick, and third star was awarded to Dylan Seitz with one goal and two assists on the evening. Leclerc was in nets for his 50th start of the season and picked up the win with a 24 save performance!
