Charles Beaudoin popped in his 20th goal of the season 1:52 into OT, leading the hometown Cats over the Saint John Sea Dogs 3-2 before 4.800 fans at the Avenir Centre on Friday night.
The victory was Moncton's 6th straight and lifted the Wildcats into a 3rd-place tie with Rimouski in the Eastern Conference, at 65 points each. The Wildcats have a game in hand.
Other Moncton goals came from Alex Mercier (11th) and a key shorthanded effort from Jonas Taibel, his 10th of the campaign.
Winning netminder Jacob Steinman made 32 saves and Moncton fired 33 shots at Saint John's Ventsislav Shingarov.

The Wildcats carry their hot streak into Sunday afternoon at 4 pm against the Maritime Division-leading Halifax Mooseheads at the Avenir Centre.
