South Georgia Wildcats News Release
ALBANY, GA- The South Georgia Wildcats made yet another improvement for the 2007 season. This morning, the Wildcats launched a new website that boasts an exciting, new look and is more user-friendly for Wildcats fans.
"While our website improved steadily over the first two seasons, we realized it still needed a more eye-catching design that would draw more attention and eventual fans for our organization," says General Manager Darren McPhail.
The Wildcats teamed up with a local web developer, Scott Evans. Evans owns skywater, a company that's offered web development and programming services to Albany and surrounding areas for two years. In 2005, skywater opened in Lee County to serve smaller businesses in need of local, affordable web design. For more information, please contact us via email at help@goskywater.com.
"As a new part of the local community, we wanted to do everything we could to support the Wildcats," says Scott Evans, web designer for skywater. "As a vibrant, visible representation of the Albany area, the Wildcats have expanded the City of Albany's identity in ways no one anticipated just 5 years ago. We thought the best way we could help was by offering our services to help redesign their website to be more dynamic and user friendly as well as provide a space on itsalbany.com for a fan forum to help build on that underlying theme of a strong community. We share a common motivator, to help make Albany a better place to live, work and play," says Evans.
The Wildcats will host an exhibition game against the Alabama Steeldogs on March 17th. The Wildcats play their first regular season game of 2007 on Saturday, March 31st against the Arkansas Twisters at the Albany Civic Center on Cooper Tire Field. Individual game tickets are on sale now. For ticket information, call the Wildcats at 229 435 0205.
