Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz News Release
OKLAHOMA CITY-The Yard Dawgz talent has recently caught the eye of several other leagues and teams. WR/DB Anthony Armstrong, WR/DB Scott Mitchell, and QB Justin Allgood have all landed on other teams.
Armstrong (5'11, 180) has signed with the AFL's Dallas Desperados. He had an excellent career at West Texas A & M in Canyon, Texas, where he finished on both the career reception and receiving yards list. Armstrong was also a candidate for the Harlon Hill Trophy, which is awarded annually to the Division II Player of the Year.
Mitchell (6'3, 215), University of Kentucky, played for the Yard Dawgz last season. This outstanding athlete was taken by the Berlin Thunder during the 23rd round of the NFL Europe Draft.
The Yard Dawgz have also traded QB Justin Allgood (6'1, 205) to division rival Tulsa Talons for DS Henry Hall (5'8, 177), former Oklahoma State Defensive Back. Allgood will join former Yard Dawgz and af2 All-Time leading passer, Craig Strickland, in Tulsa where he is now the Offensive Coordinator.
"Although it's hard to see these guys leave, it proves that we're signing the right athletes if they're catching the eye of AFL and NFL Europe teams," commented Head Coach John Fitzgerald.
Yard Dawgz season tickets are now available for only $64! Call 405.228.3294 or visit www.okcyarddawgz.com for more information.
